Our fall was filled with music and supporting great events including local artists, festivals, and a grammy award winning trio

This year’s Goleta Lemon Festival was elevated to new heights, thanks to the collaborative efforts of Islay Events, DSR Audio, and Lucidity Events. Each played a pivotal role in creating a memorable experience. Islay Events built the stage and roof structure, providing a robust platform for a diverse lineup of performers. DSR Audio brought their audio expertise, ensuring every note was crystal clear, enhancing the audience’s engagement. Lucidity Events contributed their innovative structures, adding an artistic flair to the festival’s ambiance.

Together, our teams made the Lemon Festival a standout event in the community calendar.

For the Santa Barbara Teen Star event, Islay Events provided production support by enhancing the house lighting system with a moving light package and operator, 16 foot wide by 9 foot tall video hung upstage of the performers, and sound engineering services. Our professional setup played a significant role in enhancing the performances, creating an immersive and memorable experience for both the performers and the audience. The inclusion of a video wall, in particular, added a dynamic visual element to the show, further elevating the production quality and overall impact of the event.

The Teen Star Santa Barbara event is a remarkable platform designed to support and showcase the talents of young performers. Established in 2010, this initiative seeks to promote youth in the performing arts, inspiring passion, excellence, and professionalism. By offering teenagers opportunities to perform, Teen Star plays a crucial role in nurturing the next generation of artists, especially in an era where many youth arts programs have faced reductions or eliminations.

The winners and participants of Teen Star have the opportunity to be seen and heard at significant civic events throughout Santa Barbara County, providing them with a platform to showcase their talents beyond the competition. This exposure is invaluable for young artists looking to make their mark in the world of performing arts.

Time for Three, a grammy award winner and renowned classically trained string trio, held a memorable event at the historic Presidio Chapel in Santa Barbara.  The group showcased their unique blend of classical, bluegrass, rock, jazz, and hip-hop music. Islay Events enhanced the experience by providing a professional production package included a raised stage, lighting equipment, and high-quality sound system, ensuring the trio’s eclectic sounds were delivered with clarity and impact. The event was hosted by Teresa Kuskey and Rick O’Shay, adding a personal touch to the evening.The event reflected Time for Three’s commitment to diverse musical expressions and community engagement, resonating with their history of eclectic performances and educational outreach.

Islay Events worked with Felici Events for the Storyteller Children’s Center’s 35th anniversary gala, an event that marked a significant milestone in the organization’s history. The gala, held at the Hilton Beachside Resort in Santa Barbara, was not just a celebration but a powerful fundraiser for the center’s critical programs. We provided our expert lighting services and a dynamic video wall, which were essential in creating an immersive 80’s-themed atmosphere.  The lighting provided was not just functional but also artistic, enhancing the overall experience of the gala. The use of vibrant and dynamic themed color scheme helped in recreating the 80’s ambiance, a decade known for its bold and colorful aesthetic. This was particularly important as the event aimed to pay homage to the year of the center’s inception in 1988.  The inclusion of a video wall by Islay Events added a modern and engaging element to the gala. The video wall was utilized to display various multimedia content throughout the evening, including videos that highlighted the history and impact of the Storyteller Children’s Center. This not only provided a visual treat for the attendees but also helped in conveying the center’s message and the importance of the fundraiser in a compelling and memorable way.
